• WNr 1.6582 / DIN 34CrNiMo6
Chemical properties
W.Nr | DIN | C% | SI% | Mn% | P% | S% | Cr% | Mo% | Ni% |
1.6582 | 34CrNiMo6 | 0.30 – 0.38 | ≤0.40 | 0.50 – 0.80 | 0.035 | 0.035 | 1.30 – 1.70 | 0.15 – 0.30 | 1.30 – 1.70 |
Applications
For high strength large surface components for aeronautical, automotive industries, for propeller shafts, couplings, car gearboxes, etc. Due to its high nickel content, it has greater impact resistance.
• WNr 1.7225 / DIN 42 CrMo4
Chemical properties
W.Nr | DIN | C% | SI% | Mn% | P% | S% | Cr% | Mo% | Ni% |
1.7225 | 42CrMo4 | 0.38-0.45 | ≤0.40 | 0.60-0.90 | 0.035 | 0.035 | 0.90-1.20 | 0.15-0.30 | – |
Applications
It is used where we need great resistance to torsional, bending and tensile stresses. E.g. Drive shafts, crankshafts, half-shafts, axles, pins, etc.
